Our History

Our History

For fifteen years Dayna Capper Corley and her sister Alaine Capper taught swim lessons in their backyard. Many years later, in 2005, their children along with their brother, David Capper’s children started teaching their own swimming lessons in the backyard of the Corley’s home. In 2004, Fort Worth Family Swim School began. David Corley, Jeddy Corley Bowen, Amanda Schuster, and Julia Capper Montzingo started something that they thought would be a good summer job. Somehow, FWFSS grew to be so much more. Now, ten years later, FWFSS has remained a family business that continues to uphold the values on which it was founded.

The vision of FWFSS is not only to equip children with the skills necessary for being a competent and confident swimmer, but to also help them develop character in how they approach all aspects of life.

What Parents Are Saying

My son, Noah, was in your swim school last summer and loved it. His instructor was David and Noah couldn't wait to get to his swim lesson every day to see his new friend. Noah was able to swim so much better and applied the things that David had taught him. We look forward to seeing you again this year and hope to get Noah's little sister involved as well. -Robin Flynn
