BEGINNER CLASSES

Mom/Dad-N-Me (Baby/Parent Classes)
For babies from 5 months – 2 years, this class is a fun/sing-along parent assisted class designed to teach parents how to introduce the beginnings of swimming to younger children.

2-3 Year Old Beginners:
This is designed for toddlers who have no previous lessons. We require them to take TWO 8-day private lessons. The first 8 days must be consecutive but the second set of 8 days does not need to be consecutive. The goal is to have water safe toddlers by the end of the 16 days.

2-3 Year Old Intermediate:

We recommend AT LEAST an 8-day private lesson for children who fall under this category. This class is designed to improve the skills the child already has and to build on them. Our goal is to ensure the child is water safe and is comfortable with his/her abilities in the water. We seek to have the child at a level of safely enjoying the water by the end of the lessons.

4 and Up Beginners:
This is for children who are still not confident on their own in the water. We recommend AT LEAST an 8 day private lesson for a child of this age. This class is designed to help younger beginners overcome their fear or apprehension of the water as well as develop a level of comfort and independence while swimming.

4 and Up Intermediate:

For this age group, we suggest an 8 day private lesson where the goal is to build on the child’s current confidence and ability. We will work to learn each stroke and perfect the one(s) he/she already knows.

4 and Up Advanced:
We recommend a 4 day private lesson, but only if the child can independently swim free style across the length of the pool. These lessons are designed to teach the correct form and technique of basic skills as well as to build endurance.

Adult Lessons:

These lessons vary due to skill level of the participant.  With these classes, we seek to develop comfort and trust in the water, or enhance stroke work and performance.  The lessons are challenging and enjoyable for older swimmers.

Special Needs Swimmers

These lessons are designed to recognize and understand the children’s abilities. We challenge them to the utmost of their capabilities, while still providing a fun and enjoyable atmosphere.  We use games and creativity to help develop muscle tone, safety, and fun in the water.  The goal of these classes is to produce star swimmers that enjoy the water.
