About FWFSS
Over 45 years ago, the Capper sisters did something simple: they opened their backyard pool and started teaching neighborhood kids to swim. No big facility. No franchise. Just a genuine belief that every child deserves to feel confident in the water — and that the best way to teach is with patience, care, and high expectations.
That spirit never left the family. In 2005, the next generation — four cousins, children of the original Capper sisters — came together to carry the tradition forward and founded Fort Worth Family Swim School. Same values. Same heart. A whole new chapter.
Our Instructors
Every instructor at FWFSS is intensively trained in our proven teaching method and held to the highest standards of excellence. But beyond technical skill, we look for something that can't be taught — genuine patience, an encouraging spirit, and a real dedication to helping every child build confidence in and around the water.
It's the same standard the Capper sisters set 45 years ago. We haven't lowered it since.
